Frank Olding is a native of Gwent and lives in Abergavenny. He has published two collections of Welsh-language poetry Mynydd Du (2012) and Eilun (2019) with Gwasg y Bwthyn. He has also written factual books and articles on the archaeology and history of Wales including The Archaeology of Upland Gwent/Archaeoleg Ucheldir Gwent (2016: RCAHMW) and Llên Gwerin Blaenau Gwent (2010: Gwasg Carreg Gwalch). He was Welsh-language editor of Poetry Wales from 1988 to 1995 and has helped run the small poetry press The Collective Press since 1990. He recently published The Taliesin Sourcebook (Green Magic).
