Dewi Heald is an author, musician and performer living in south Wales. He has published a number of novellas, short story collections and novels and is threatening to publish poetry at some point in the future. His novella ‘Me, I’m Like Legend, I Am’ – a comic tale of life in a post-apocalypse Vale of Glamorgan – won the New Welsh Review / Aberystwyth University award for dystopian fiction in 2019. His most recent novel, ‘The Great Stupidity, a comic tale of mis-education in a Further Education college in south Wales has recently been published by Cambria Books.
Dewi regularly reads and performs his writing at the Talisman Open Mic night in Swansea and in the Llantwit Major Writers Circle. Under the pseudonym Dai Bongos, he also performs music for pleasure and occasionally for charity.
