Kate Williams is a children’s poet, living in the Vale of Glamorgan. Her poems can be found in numerous anthologies, mostly for UK publishers such as Oxford University Press, Macmillan, Hodder, Bloomsbury and Dorling Kindersley. In Wales, her poems feature in the anthology ‘Second Thoughts’, published by Gomer Press, and in several children’s poetry collections for the WJEC.
Kate has an upcoming collection of animal poems – ‘Squeak! Squawk! Roar!’ – with Otter-Barry Books, publishing on 9th January ’25.
Kate is an experienced poetry workshop leader for children, having shared her love of poetry-writing with children in hundreds of schools to date, around Wales and beyond, also working with able writers ‘Squads’. On publication of her book, she expects some of the animals within it to stray into her poetry sessions.
