Kate Williams is a children’s poet, living in the Vale of Glamorgan. Her debut solo collection – Squeak! Squawk! Roar! Amazing Animal Poems – will be published by Otter-Barry Books on 9th January ’25, and is now available for pre-order from UK bookshops and online bookstores. The 54 poems are richly illustrated by artist Hannah Asen, and recommended for children aged 6 and above.

Kate is an experienced poetry workshop leader for primary schools, and is offering animal poetry sessions after Christmas, with readings from the book. She has a DBS certificate, auto-updated annually online.
Besides her upcoming collection, Kate’s poems for children can be found in numerous anthologies, mostly for UK publishers such as Oxford University Press, Macmillan, Hodder, Bloomsbury and Dorling Kindersley.
