Originally from Cwmafan, Ioan Kidd has lived in Cardiff for many years. He is the author of seven novels, five of which are for adults. He has also written a volume of short stories, O’r Cyrion, and a number of his stories have appeared in other publications. In 2014 his novel, Dewis, won the Wales Book of the Year Award and also the Barn y Bobl Award. His latest novel, Tadwlad, was published in 2024.
