Irene Edwards lives in Carmarthenshire and is the author of the ‘Magic Islands,’ – a children’s fantasy adventure series. Born in South Wales she is now a retired teacher who enjoys travel, reading and culture together with painting and crafting. She taught language structure and sounds to deaf children in several UK schools and cities, and her interest in literature drew her to the importance of stories for children, and to the critical necessity of story sharing between child and teacher in Education, and child and parent at home. Originally published by Cambria Publishers, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, Irene has since self-published her works.
