Marie Anne Cope grew up in Manchester, moving to North Wales in 2005, where she lives with her three cats, Jasmine, Texas, and Stoker. She is the author of the dark supernatural BONDS series, the horror short story TALES FROM A SCARYGIRL series, and, under the pen name M. A. Cope, THE MISFITS series for children. On Halloween 2023 Marie published the first volume in her Ellie Lawrence supernatural crime thriller series, THE HEADHUNTER, a percentage of the royalties from which she is donating to the Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia UK in honour of her dad. Marie is a developmental editor and loves to help other authors shape their novels. She also enjoys speaking about her books and writing life at libraries, bookshops and elsewhere, as well as sharing her approach to planning and writing novels through workshops or short courses.
