Ceri Leigh was fascinated by wildlife as a child growing up in suburban Cardiff. She went on to study Countryside Management in Bangor and Wildlife Illustration in Carmarthen before joining the Natural History Museum (NHM) in London initially as a Graphic Designer. Ceri then gained a Masters degree in Science Communication from Imperial College London and became Exhibitions Design & Conservation Manager at NHM. After an accident caused PTSD Ceri moved back to Wales and as a coping mechanism began photographing the surrounding landscapes and journalling about wildlife. This resulted in her first book Life on the Floodplain – A Garden Wildlife Diary 2020. In addition to natural history Ceri is also interested in Welsh working class history and advocates for mental health.
