I have been translating from Welsh to English since 2009. In that time the publisher Gwasg Carreg Gwalch has commissioned me to translate two volumes of poetry selections, seven novels for older children/young adults and four popular non-fiction books. In 2020, I was also chosen to take part in Literature Wales’ Writers’ Bursaries and Mentoring Scheme. I was mentored while translating a Welsh literary novel for adults: Yn y Tŷ Hwn by Sian Northey.
My main business is proofreading and copy-editing written English, both fiction and non-fiction, under the trading name of Sue Proof.
