Biography
Izzy Rabey (she/they) is a Queer and Welsh speaking Director, Applied Theatre Practitioner and Music Maker from Machynlleth in Mid-Wales. As a Director she worked with The Royal Court, National Theatre Wales, Theatr Clwyd, Sherman Theatre, Chapter Arts Centre, The Rosemary Branch and The Other Room Theatre. Izzy has worked young people in the care system, autism units, pupil referral units, schools for neurodivergent youth and adolescent psychiatric units. She currently co-facilitates Young Queens, a community poetry and drama group for young Somali women in Cardiff.

- Intersectionality and Welsh Identity: discussions on what Welsh identity is and can be, and using Drama and Research Skills as a way of developing pieces of performance on Welsh identity in addition to introducing pupils to Welsh artists and creatives from the Global Majority who they may have not heard about, through independent research tasks and presentations by the pupils to one another.
