Kael is a children’s writer who lives in Swansea, south Wales with his wife, three children, two cats and the occasional woodlouse that wanders in from outside.
He began writing his own stories at a young age, inspired by the books he bought at school fairs and jumble sales (a high point was getting a copy of Danny, Champion of the World for 5p). He now writes picture books that come from the weird and often wild ideas that pop into his head on a daily basis.
When he’s not writing he loves reading, drinking at least 15 cups of tea a day, and exploring the Welsh countryside with his family.
