Joy Margetts has loved writing for as long as she can remember. A retired nurse, mother of two, and a new grandparent, she also has a lifelong interest in history. She makes her home on the beautiful north Wales coast and takes her inspiration from the rich spiritual history and stunning landscapes of her adopted homeland.
Her debut novel The Healing was published by Instant Apostle in March 2021 and her second full length novel, The Pilgrim, was published in July 2022.
Her books are works of historic fiction, set in medieval Wales against the backdrop of Cistercian abbey life, in the time of Llewellyn Fawr. They are stories of faith, hope and God’s redemptive power. Joy has also self- published a short novella, The Beloved as both a companion to her novels, and as an easy to read standalone story, which is available as an eBook.
