Rosy Adams grew up in the Bannau Brycheiniog where she spent most of her time in the library or up the mountain. She didn’t go to school much but one of the few classes she attended was English, because her teacher was the writer Chris Meredith who made it interesting. She went to UWTSD in Lampeter to study BA and MA Creative Writing shortly after her younger daughter was born. She was part of the second Representing Wales writer development programme in 2022/23, and this was a life changing experience which led her to set up a Community Interest Company to organise and fund ongoing support for under-represented writers in Wales (watch this space!) She edited and contributed to (un)common: anthology of new Welsh writing (Lucent Dreaming, 2024), a collection of writing by her cohort of Representing Wales. Her writing has been published in The Lampeter Review, Grim & Gilded, Writing Magazine, Lucent Dreaming Magazine, These Pages Sing, Gwyllion, and Poetry Wales, amongst others. She is in the editing stages of a collection of contemporary short stories influenced by myth and fairy tale, and she has a novel in development.
