Biography

Lisa Tulfer is a freelance writer and blogger. She specialises in non-fiction articles – mainly history and place writing – and also writes reviews and occasional poetry. Her work has been published in The Pilgrim, The Cardiff Review, the Earth Pathways Diary, the Redemptorist Press, and Poetry Archive Now, and she has guest blogged for Green Ink Poetry and Liza Achilles. She is currently working on her first book.

In 2021 Lisa joined the editorial board of Full House Literary Magazine as a submissions editor.

Alongside her writing, Lisa is a freelance translator, working from Dutch to English and specialising in history, genealogy, arts and literary translation.

Lisa’s interests include photography (especially mono), textile art (weaving), linocut printmaking, the Three Hares and Green Man motifs, maps, the ruins of medieval monasteries, and the history of how people lived and the houses they lived in. She likes to cook, eat, listen to the radio, knit, and read (mostly non-fiction, Golden Age crime fiction, and literary magazines). Half Welsh, half Dutch, she currently lives on the Powys/Herefordshire border.
