Karen is a poet, playwright and novelist, based on Anglesey. She has a PhD in Creative Writing from Bangor University and experience of teaching both English and Creative Writing at many levels, in community groups, schools, colleges, and at university. She has experience of teaching individuals and groups, both in-person and virtually. She currently works freelance as an editor, proofreader, tutor and mentor. Her poems have appeared in various magazines and anthologies, and her collection, One Word At A Time, was published in 2017. Her short plays have been performed in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Malaysia, and have won several awards at festivals. She has published two novels, The Crossing Place and The Stone Dancers. Her third novel, Vivo, written as part of her PhD thesis, has a trans-species character and is currently seeking publication, while she makes a foray into folk horror with her fourth, a work-in-progress.
