Hi, I’m Damian Harvey, I live in North Wales with my wife, Vicky, and our miniature dachshund, Marvin. I’m an award winning author of over 180 books for primary school aged children and have been writing for over twenty years. I write a mixture of fiction and non-fiction (sometimes combining the two), and work with a wide range of publishers including Oxford University Press, Franklin Watts, Hodder Children’s Books, Fiction Express, Harper Collins, as well as educational publishers abroad.
I’ve visited hundreds of schools and libraries in Britain and abroad to help promote reading and to get children excited about books and reading for pleasure. My performance based sessions are lively and interactive, and are tailored so that they are suitable for children from Nursery to Year 6.
In addition to these performance based sessions I also lead writing workshops in schools to help children create characters and settings, and build up story ideas for themselves.
