Menna Elfyn is a poet and playwright. She has published 14 collections of poetry, the most recent of which is her bilingual collection, Bondo (Bloodaxe Books, 2017). She published a biography on the poet Eluned Phillips: Optimist Absoliwt in 2016, and Murmur in 2012, which was selected as the first ever Poetry Book Society Recommended Translation for Welsh poetry in English translation. Her work has been translated into 20 languages, and two translations into Arabic and Catalan are imminent. She is Professor of Creative Writing at University of Wales, Trinity Saint David.
