Sian Melangell Dafydd was brought up at the foot of the Berwyn, where she has returned since living and working in Italy in galleries, and in France at America University in Paris. Her novel Y Trydydd Peth won the Medal Ryddiaith (Prose Medal) at the National Eisteddfod in 2009 and Filò (Gwasg Gomer, 2020). With Angharad Elen, she was the last co-editor of the iconic literary magazine, Taliesin. She works diligently with Indian poets and on doctoral research using yoga and writing as creative parallel exercises. She is the nature columnist for O’r Pedwar Gwynt and holds workshops in wild plants, writing and meditation/mindfulness outdoors, surrounded by nature.
