Ifor ap Glyn was the National Poet of Wales between 2016-22. Born and bred in London to Welsh parents, he is a multi-award-winning presenter and producer for television and radio. Ifor writes in Welsh and has won the Crown at the National Eisteddfod – one of the festival’s most prestigious prizes – on two occasions. He regularly performs his work in Wales and in festivals around the world and is adept at presenting Welsh poetry to a non-Welsh speaking audience. He has published six collections of poetry including Cuddle Call? (2018) a volume of selected poems with English translation in parallel text. He has also published a novel about growing up as a Welsh exile in London and a number of factual books on the Welsh experience of the First World War and the history of the Welsh language. He lives in Caernarfon.
