Earthlings, Building: Ecopoetry workshop and open mic for young poets – Young Poets Network
Writing workshop: 2:00-3:00pm
This is a free, hour-long poetry writing workshop for 14-25 year olds, followed by a Young Poets Takeover open mic over Zoom.
In the workshop, participants will be guided through a series of generative writing prompts related to the Earthlings, Building challenge on Young Poets Network. This workshop will be led by poet Caleb Parkin, who will also be judging the challenge.
After the workshop, we encourage you to keep editing your work and submit it to Earthlings, Building challenge on Young Poets Network, which is free and open to enter until 26 January.

Young Poets Takeover: 3:00-4:00pm
After a short break, participants will be invited to hear sets from recent Young Poets Network winners and share their own work on the open mic for up to two minutes. We are celebrating young voices – so if you want to hear from the up-and-coming stars of the poetry world, come along!
Open mic slots are two minutes long and allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis: if you can no longer attend the online event, please email educationadmin@poetrysociety.org.uk as soon as possible.
Anyone aged 14-25 is welcome to join, regardless of how much experience they might have with poetry.
