Literature Wales, in partnership with Snowdonia National Park, organised a creative afternoon at Yr Ysgwrn for Hafal service users from Porthmadog.
Photographer Lee Aspland led an outdoor Mindful Photography workshop around Yr Ysgwrn for a group of people who are supported by Hafal, a charity offering support for people of mixed ages who are recovering from severe mental illness. Attendees took part in a guided meditation session, a talk about the techniques of mindful photography techniques then had the freedom to roam with their cameras. They had a session at the end where each member of the group spoke about their experience and their favourite picture of the session.
Poet and author Haf Llewelyn then led a Haiku writing workshop with the group. Haikus were inspired by the group’s experiences in the photography session and being at Yr Ysgwrn.
